Carr to Saints. Didn’t want him in Carolina. Are any teams going to move up in the draft? Is there a consensus pick?

At this point if a QB goes 1 I'd assume it's CJ Stroud. Bryce Young is incredibly short for a QB and Anthony Richardson kinda sucked at being a QB. Jalen Carter is probably the best player in the draft, but those charges for reckless driving and racing for his involvement in that deadly crash the night after the national championship game are gonna knock him down a few spots.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the colts move up and snag the top pick. Would definitely be easier for them to do than the Panthers since they have the higher pick currently.

it’s not that bad of a contract

reacting to an NFL contract as news of it breaks is almost always a fools errand

details of the actual deal with break within a day or two. that’s when reactions are worthy

Ok his mid rushing stats push him to lower-middle class nfl qb. If you want to pay a guy $40+million and struggle to make the playoffs, he's your man!

For me, he's in a tier with guys like Derek Carr and Mac Jones.

it’s better to lock up a young mid-tier QB than do what the Panthers have done the last 3+ years, especially when he’s young

he’s proven to be better than Mac Jones, is much younger than Derek Carr, and has a pretty legit offensive minded coach as his head coach

it’s also only a 2 year deal

I completely disagree. The Giants made a terrible decision to draft Jones as high as they did and have now doubled down on that by giving him a ridiculous extension a year after deciding he wasn't worth picking up the option on his rookie contract.

And it's not a 2 year deal. If they move on after 2 years they'll have an $18 million dead cap hit. They're paying him like he's a top 5 QB. This is one of the worst contracts in the NFL.

Through 2 seasons, Mac Jones has 37 total tds, 24 ints and 12 fumbles(4 lost) 6798 passing yd, 231 rushing yd.
Daniel Jones through 2 seasons: 38 tds, 22 ints and 29 fumbles(17 lost) 5970 passing yd, 702 rushing yd.

But yeah Daniel Jones has proven he's so much better. Ok. Comparing their first 2 years I'd definitely give the edge to the other Jones. You know, the one who accounted for more tds than turnovers.
