He’s just trying to say a bunch of populist ideas now to get noticed. It’s the trump tactic. Say things that the media will highlight you for to boost your polls.

Edit: Given his Harvard and Yale background and his mom is like a doctor, I don’t think he’s as dumb as he’s making himself out to be. I read his wikipedia. maybe I didn't spend enough time, but his rise to money just seems so simple.
like he bought a few drugs which weren't being used, tinkered a bit, sold the company to a big company and then had a bunch of money.
