It sounds like there are quite a few folks that travel back and forth between these two cities. But I view this as a stop-gap until they get more funding to extend it to DC.

I know this isn't the exact same project, but after hearing about trains around here for 30 years and them never being built due to perpetual "exploratory committees" and dumb fucks who constantly bitch about MUH TAX DOLLARS while their infrastructure crumbles to shit (never mind we could have built an RTP service 4 times over since we've started this fucking merry go round,) and have developed so much land with subdivisions and shopping malls, which are still centered around the automobile and continually reduce the amount of possible paths for any sort of rail system.

... I'll believe it when I see it.

Shock headline aside. I have no issue with highspeed rail but every last one of them starts with more money than this and still shits the bed on overrun
