Watching the second half of this Dayton-UNC game is infuriating. Classic UNC drawing fouls on every drive to the basket while any Dayton drive is unsuccessful because of heavy contact with no calls. Sure does make it a lot easier to come back from 21 down when the refs swallow whistles on one end.

Ahahhaha and then down 1 with 28 seconds left Dayton calls a timeout to attempt a deep 3 with 15 seconds left. There's a reason Anthony Grant got fuckin fired from Alabama.

Ahahahahaha and now we're reviewing a potential game tying 3 with 2 awful camera angles with terrible resolution which show absolutely nothing definitive. So of course they change it to a 2.

UNC was a bubble team and got sent to Dayton. Seems about right. I guess I could argue they don’t deserve it but all those last teams in/out teams are very flawed.

I don’t really get UL as an 8 and UNC in. I guess those are separate and shouldn’t be viewed as anything more. But if UL gets punished because the ACC sucks and they have a weak resume due to a weak ACC…then how does UNC get in at all? Just seems inconsistent

I remember being pissed when State didn't make the tournament in 2019 when it seemed like we should clearly be in. They didn't even have us in the first 4 out. I was curious about how many quad 1 wins we had and found this article.

Fuck UNC but it doesn’t seem that crazy for them to be on the right side of the bubble. WV lost to sub .500 Colorado in their conference tournament. Maybe Boise should have made it…idk…but doesnt the Mountain West almost always underperform in the tourney?

It would’ve been funny if UNC didn’t make it. But I also don’t think it’s some travesty that WV got snubbed.

That said, UNC is gonna win at least 2 games. Maybe 3.

I’ve seen people say that “bracketologists” should be on the committee and not ADs. But that feels even worse to me. Putting media members whose media orgs are very invested in March Madness feels way more problematic to me.
