^^^I think it would be accurate to say "Trump and Nixon are/were both deeply flawed human beings."

Nixon's personality, inability to understand people, inability to form relationships, vindictiveness, etc. Those things are certainly all comparable to Trump.

But their intelligence? Ability to understand the office and actually BE president? Understanding of politics, geopolitics, long term goals/cause/effect? Competence? Not even close.

There are obviously MAJOR criticisms of Nixon but he was nowhere close to the level of nincompoop Trump is.

right, Nixon was really bad in the way you describe, but otherwise highly competent.

Trump makes Nixon look like one of the greats.
