I am all for the US gaining this land. Perhaps it looks bad now, but years from now it will seem like a great thing.

I like Trumps thought process. We don't tell others they can't take land in Ukraine, taiwan, etc...and others can't tell us to not take Greenland, Panama, etc.

The net positive of the 2nd Trump admin will be acquiring Greenland. At least that is what I hope, rather than some "at least we didn't become a dictatorship" type doom and gloom mumbo jumbo that the left tried to win 2024 with.

The US could have easily had all of North America including Canada, Mexico, Greenland, and Cuba if it played certain events differently in history. Imagine how much cheaper it would be to defend the border between Panama and Colombia. In fact, people already mostly don't cross it because of the Darién Gap.

The video is basically saying “of course we’re not going to invade Greenland because that would be crazy and suicidal and here’s all the reasons why”

But the quoted text is ambiguous but seems to be saying invading Greenland (which we defacto control now due to the strength of our alliances) is good actually because China (who just had a record trade surplus because of trump) and Russia (where trump is famously whiffing on our best chance to end putinism with Ukraine).
