Middlebrooks was out of eligibility so I don’t really get why he is trying to apply for a waiver. That one is odd.

As far as I can tell nobody (aside from BM) has announced they’re transferring. I’m not sure I really care if any of them come back

I don't see any downside to him coming here. Just adds icing to the sales pitch. "Look man, our team is so lit, even the student manager is raking in NIL deals." I'm just waiting for it to hit Nascar level. Dudes giving post game interviews wearing a John Deere hat, drinking a Monster Energy, talkin bout how their Chipotle pre-game meal really got them prepared, and how Gatorade Energy Chews helped them make that game winning shot.

Listing Hill at 6'4" might have been the biggest lie of all time. If you look at the official team photo, MOC is sitting next to him and has at least 3-4" on him in the sitting position (with probably another +2" in leg length). Or maybe MOC just really is a 7 footer?

We may not use all 13.

It also shouldn’t be *that* hard to upgrade nearly every position considering how awful we were last year. Idk much about Greer specifically though.

I don't think it will be hard to find 13 better players in the portal than a 3 star high school recruit. I'd rather take the chance on a guy who has proven he can contribute at the college level (even low-major or whatever) than on a middling high school recruit who has a much higher chance of being a complete bust.

Honestly we shouldn't sign any high school recruits who aren't at a bare minimum top-100 recruits. It just doesn't make sense in the modern basketball landscape to try and develop diamonds in the rough. Leave that to small schools and then swoop in and get them once the busts have been weeded out.

McNeil and Parker shouldn't feel safe about any amount of playing time next year either. Parker especially. He showed flashes of being decent (respectable 3 point shooter) but also had a gnarly turnover problem and is still undersized as a PG.

It's super early in the process, so yes i believe there are that many available (portaleros that is, not hs recruits)

I still think it would be pretty wild if we were able to get 13+ transfers (or even 9) committed for next season. Especially if they're all better than anyone on our current roster.

But Louisville did just that last year...they flipped their entire roster and went from finishing dead last in the ACC to 3rd. It's pretty easy to do when you have a respectable NIL budget (which we will have).

To be fair, coaching change or not we were probably gonna have at least 8 newcomers next year with BHH, Pass, BM, Styles, MOC, JT all seniors and then probably 2-3 transfers out at minimum. So if we’re replacing 12 or 13 instead of just 8 or 9, I don’t really see that as a big deal.

Mcneese state had 3 jrs who averaged 20 min a game and played in the tourney games, I wonder if our recruiting starts there. The one starter shot 40% from 3 (although he was a combined 0-11 vs clemson and Purdue and may have been benched)
