I recently went to Vegas for leisure again. Stayed on Fremont Street at The D. I really enjoyed my trip. Planning on going back in 2026.

What are your favorite Vegas things to do?

Do you gamble? If yes, do you have a strategy?

I've only been once for a trade show, and my favorite thing to do was to leave. Felt like Disney World for white trash adults. No offense to those who enjoy it. I guess eating was pretty good.

No offense taken. It's trashy as fuck.

On my recent trip I won $800 and did a lot of good sightseeing.

I have also stayed at the D! I was there for a bachelor party. The owner of the D constantly hung out at the bottom floor drinking with guests. The bachelor was schmoozing with the owner trying to get free drinks or something. He offered us a free limo ride to the strip club, but it was like you had to pester him to get him to keep his word. I think once he noticed that we spent enough money at his bar, he gave about 4 of us that free ride from his driver. We drank all of his bottle of Grey Goose on the way to make up for the disappointment. [I know, some real badasses!] The strip club was advertised as the biggest in Vegas with like 100 whores. Cover charge was like $25. The bouncer told me to move along because I was standing around too much. haha I don't waste much money on lap dances.
Anyways, the best thing to do is visit Vegas for 1/2 day, people watch, bet $20-$50 on black in roulette - lose or cash out, and then go to somewhere more interesting!

I had to Google him, but I'm pretty sure that's who I briefly met. I was there during March Madness. He had the MSU game on about every screen in the conference room. Everyone made a big deal about their loss since he was pulling for MSU -> Michigan -> Detroit -> The D.

I got to check out glamorous Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races (in West Virginia) last Friday.

It was smokey as HECK inside (they even had ash trays in each bathroom stall). There was a huge horseracing track outside, I bet on a few horse races (and got one right with 7-to-1 odds!).

Then when we were about to leave, I found a $25 chip on the floor, and bought me some coffee and food from their restaurant.

'Twas a fun night, but I definitely don't need to go back to a casino anytime soon, though.

yep - he says The D stands for Detroit and not Derek or "that dick"

some people gave him grief for hosting Trump at Circa but I think he kind of didn't have a choice
I give him credit for revitalizing downtown LV
