course :CE 382
course rating :2 - Average
course comments :hydraulics covered all about fluid flow, for the most part through pipes and channels. the material was for the most part difficult. part of the problem was i wasn't very interested in the material to begin with. the material built on itself over the semester.
class :Fall 2003 section 002
grade received :B-
class rating :2 - Average
class comments :i can honestly say i worked my tail off for a B-. I did pretty bad on my first two tests (above average but still low), and toward the end of the course i finally started understanding things well. the class required a decent amount of work. it had required homeworks and quizzes, but also required a good amount of practice to get the hang of stuff. there was no attendance policy and the you couldn't get by without the book.
instructor :Overton
instructor rating :4 - Awesome
instructor comments :a grad student, emily zechman, taught this course. i give her an awesome because it was my own damn fault for my grade. i thought she taught good enough for anyone to get an A. i give her big props for learning the names of over 50 students. she also joked with the class and was very helpful outside of class. not to mention she was kind of hot and had a nice rack.

course :CE 382
course rating :3 - Good
course comments :hydraulics has some real interesting material...but at the same time some of it is pretty boring...the material is all connected,,,which can be good or bad....some of the concepts get very complex...but most things were able to simplified to smaller equations...but each time we got to a new topic i felt so lost...homework was also pretty hard at times
class :Fall 2004 section 001
grade received :A
class rating :3 - Good
class comments :kumar gives lots of quizzes...every friday...but you never get them back...so they don't help much...tests are not too hard...but he likes to throw curveballs in there...one good thing is kumar will usually explain how to do every type of problem, sometimes even the exact one on the test...so go to every class i didnt but the lecture notes...don't know if they help i suggest reading the book...helped explain a lot
instructor :Mahinthakumar
instructor rating :3 - Good
instructor comments :sometimes the class put me on the edge of falling asleep but i never actually did....kumar makes a joke once a week....he speaks pretty clear compared to some other civil teachers....and he is availabe outside of class and flexible with rescheduling a quiz if needed...but he always seemed nervous to talk to me when i went to visit him...but friendly nonetheless

instructor comments :Worst professor ever, doesn't give you the solutions to quizs, randomly assigns homework, and sometimes works through an entire problem on the board to realize she did it wrong. Try to take someone else, the average for most of her classes are low Cs.

class comments :The homeworks took a while to do, but they were online so you could submit till you got them right. your gonna have to learn how to do the stuff because the TA's help but youll just get confused with what they say
instructor :Ducoste
instructor rating :3 - Good
instructor comments :Dr. Ducoste is what saved me in this class. I thought he did a good job. He graded quizes and tests quick and actually taught us, not just read off notes from the overhead. I would definatly take another class with him.
