course :ST 435
course rating :3 - Good
course comments :This is a very good course. If you are an IE major and are minoring in ST, I would recommend taking this course and letting it substitute for IE 443, especially if Thompson is teaching it.

class comments :Overall, this class was pretty easy. It helps to read the chapters and the homework problems help a lot when it comes test time. I didnt feel stressed in this class at all.

course comments :Statistical Quality Control ... nuff said. Its one of the weaker areas (industrial statistics) of the ST program at NCSU.

class rating :3 - Good
class comments :I enjoyed attending lectures. Monday was always a 5-minute discussion of football before class began. He had formal office hours, but pretty much had an open door policy, which is rare. This course was cross-listed with 535, and honestly, I don't think the graduate students got as much out of it as they should/could have.
instructor :Thompson
instructor rating :4 - Awesome
instructor comments :First time teaching the course, so lectures were based off the book. He was HONEST about this, so I couldn't help but be forgiving. Most of the lectures were based off of the book (GOOD BOOK), and so were the exams.
