Help Fight Breast Cancer, Make Money

The 3rd Annual DragFEST will occur on Friday, October 5, at 7pm in the Talley Student Center Ballroom. This event, hosted by Mu Beta Psi, National Honorary Musical Fraternity, will feature student/alumni drag (gender impersonation) performers, as well as local professional performers. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, a group dedicated to raising funds to cure breast cancer.

For more information, and for students and alumni interested in participating, send an email to dragfest2007@gmail.com. We would appreciate any assistance in helping spread the word about this event.

We are in special need of students willing to perform. For those who perform (kings and queens), there will be cash prizes.

Prizes:
$100 for first, $150 pot split between all other contestants
Contestants get to keep any tips made while onstage!

Tickets: $5 at the door.

I went to one of these a couple of years back. This is sure to be a fun event, and it goes towards a good cause.

A) That's pretty cliche/stereotyped, imho.
B) We like to mix it up every year. The first year we did it, the money went to Alliance AIDS Services.
