Last Day To Register To Vote

Fellow Students: Today is the last day to register to vote. Your vote is your chance to do something about the Nuisance Party Ordinance, The sad state of Hillsborough Street, price gouging landlords, and parking. Your vote is the only way that you can do something about the problems in our district.
Why does Benson Kirkman not care about the needs of NCSU students? The answer is simple: we as students do not vote. District D in Raleigh has about 50000 residents. The VAST majority of these are NCSU students. In the average City Council election, there are about 5000 total votes. Of those votes the number of votes making up the student demographic, is about a few hundred.
We, as students at NCSU should be in control of this district based sheerly on our numbers. However our complacence has allowed those such as Benson Kirkman to walk all over us. We need to take a stand and let Raleigh know that our needs are important, and we will make sure that those needs are met.
So I implore you to go to the Student Government office today, or see your RA and register to vote. If you are already registered to vote, Make sure that you're registed in District D in Wake County, so that you can vote in this district. It takes about 10 minutes to register.
