Take Back the Night

Take Back the Night is a program put on by the Women's Center at NC State. It's a show of support for survivors of rape and sexual assault, both on campus and in the community.

The march will be held on Thursday October 25, 2001 @ 7:00-9:30pm. Here's the itnerary:

7:00 p.m.- Marchers will gather in two locations on campus: Harris Field in front of Witherspoon Student Center and the Becton-Berry-Bagwell Quad on East Campus, and then walk towards the Brickyard.

8:00 p.m.-Marchers meet in the Brickyard, where the rally will take place. There will be several speakers at the event; including former NC State students and Meredith Alumnae. A short candlelight vigil recognizing survivors of rape and sexual assault will follow the rally.

9:30 p.m.-A Speakout for survivors of rape and sexual assault will be held in the NC State Womens Center, located at 3120 Talley Student Center. The Speakout is an opportunity for survivors to share their stories and receive support in a safe and confidential environment.

NC State University has sponsored Take Back the Night since 1988.
