Carmichael Gym Forum 2/27

Carmichael Gym director Dawn Sanner will be hosting another forum, for students and gym members on Thursday night 2/27 at 7pm in Room 104 which is right below the Campus Rec office Room 1000. General topics such as weight room use and guest policies will be discussed as well as ideas on the expansion. Bring any questions or comments you may have including any thoughts you have on the new equipment being proposed. Hope to see you on Thursday!

I hope that anyone who goes also asks how much of a fee increase this "expansion" will cost students.

someone who is going -- tell them we need punching and/or speed bags... I'd like to see those in the gym, even if we're req'd to bring our own gloves...

The gym needs all new wieghts. The weights in there are out dated. More weightroom space is a must too. If you have ever been in the weight rooms from 5-7 on a monday you know exactly what i mean. There is much more that is needed such as more than one cable/pully system, new dumbbells, ect......

Though I know its too late... But you'd think they'd buy some frick'n treadmills. Not a damn one in the whole facility.

You can email Dawn Sanner ( dawn_sanner@ncsu.edu ) about anything you want related to the Gym, but I'm almost certain they've purchased a lot of new treadmill-type machines with a lot of student input before they bought them

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they'll be getting some treadmills. But why do you need a treadmill when you have an indoor track?

i went to ASU last year and we had music in the weight room. there weren't any problems they basically just had a set schedule of what they would play and when. But, i think we all agree that any music is better than none at all.
