Big Local Hard Rock Acts Ring in the New Year

submitted by TheBrewery on Monday, December 27 2004 at 3:19 PM

Some of the Triangle's biggest and best local hard rock bands are joining forces to ring in 2005 in style.

Slavemachine, a hard rock/metal band originally from Raleigh, will be one of the acts stepping on stage on New Year's Eve at The Brewery on Hillsborough Street to help rock in the new year. Slavemachine formed in 1999 and quickly built a reputation with their great live show and thundering music. In 2004, the band signed with California's Reality Entertainment (GODHEAD, MARCY PLAYGROUND, etc.) and released their first Reality full-length CD, "Disfigured Consciousness."

Also on stage will be Downfall, winners of the N.C. leg of the national contest "The ZIppo Hot Tour." Downfall recently beat out some of the top bands in N.C. to take the honors as the top N.C. band, and make their way onto the national contest.

Also on the bill are heavy hitters Untold and Wounded Soul.

Downfall, Slavemachine and Untold are all three bands that would normally headline The Brewery, So, it's really cool to have all three bands playing on the same night.
