S.P.E.L hosts a Summer Internship/ Program Fair!

Monday February 7th from 12-3pm
Caldwell Lounge

• What: Summer programs, seminars and internships information will be
displayed for students to take and Keynote speaker Traci Leonardo (director of the Institute on Political Journalism) will speak to student, faculty and staff of NC State and neighboring schools about the Fund for American Studies’ Programs.

• Other opportunities include: The Young American foundation, The Inter-collegiate Studies Institute, The Collegiate Network, The Leadership institute, The Property and Environment Research Center, The Institute for Humane Studies, The Mises Institute, and The Fund for American Studies

• Why: The Society for Politics, Economics and the Law is a new organization
whose mission is to provide a new set of intellectual opportunities for
students interested in interdisciplinary study of economics, politics and
law. By hosting this fair SPEL hopes to broaden student's horizon
and encourage development and experience.

I signed up for SPEL's book club, but I havn't heard anything else about it.

Also just learned about a free conference at Duke that would also be attractive to SPEL members and students in general who are interested in Political Science, Economics, Law.

NC State students are invited along with the Duke students.

It is a great opportunity to hear some very good speakers. If you want to go you need to register in the next day or 2.

The Book club books were distributed friday at 230-330

I forgot to pick mine up, I'll see what I can do for ya though
