More Bad News: Wilkins Out!

Another blow to the already struggling NC State mens basketball team. Damien Wilkins will be sidelined for the next 2 weeks with torn ligaments in his Ankle. Just when things were going so well for the pack...

Will Roach and Trey Guidry will see some action in replacement of Wilkins. Tonight's Game tips off @730 in the ESA against Charleston Southern.

Update : It turns out to just be a mild ankle sprain. At least we were correct about the appendage in question ;)

Update : Strained ligaments in his foot may miss up to 3 weeks, if he does not heal quickly

Well lets just get him healed. I played on my ankle with badly torn ankle ligaments through the last 2 weeks of tennis season last spring and did alot of permanent damage. Lets hope Damien heals well, and is patient through this ordeal. And lets cheer the Pack on to pull through it Wednesday night against Penn State!

I know the basketball statistician for the teamn and she said that the Adidas basketball shoes are awful-I think its time to get another shoe sponser for our teams. We seem to have more than our fair share of injuries and I think the shoes play a role. Adidas is NOT a basketball shoe company-they make soccer and running shoes well, but I would never trust their basketball shoes.

I as well know that statistician. The addidas shoes are not the best for basketball, although this year's model, which my roomate happens to have, are good. The previous years are horrible...I mean I wore a pair one time while playin and sprained my ankle.

I've heard discussion about the Adidas shoes for a few years. I think I remember sometime last year, when Herb let the players wear whatever kind of shoes they wanted. This happened after like the 4th ankle injury.

Did he go back to the old rules or what?

Fuck Adidas!! get some real shoes.

Yeah, it is tough when you get in a bad sponsorship deal. They need to get their crap straightened out.

I agree, Addidas doesnt make great bball shoes. I wonder why we just cant get Nike to sponsor BBall like they do for football. At least if Nike sponsored us they would make replica jerseys and cool shooting shirts. They already have a replica of Ray Robinsons #5 Jersey over at Addams Bookstore and were selling it at the game. Addidas will never make stuff like that available to the public.
