Tha' Pirate Captain bae against one Will Quick.
I voted for Mark Clapp. I can personally attest to his strength of character, and he's not a frat boy. 10/24/2005 2:10:17 PM |

Mark is in the CoT, that's one reason why he gets my support. But he's really involved. He started up the Compassion in Action stuff over at the CoT, and we've raised close to $2000 already. He's in a lot of other activities, I believe. (One is KTB, or Kappa Tau Beta...it's a leadership fraternity in the College of Textiles. you have to be nominated for it by one of your professors, I believe.) anyway, that's about all I know. 10/24/2005 9:33:40 PM |

Please vote YES to the Union Constitution. I am involved with both organizations and this new Constitution will help both organizations function more effectively for the students! So, please take the time to vote for it and let everyone you know vote for it as well! If you need anymore information, the whole Constitution is on the Student Govt. website and is on the ballot!
Thanks, Valerie 10/25/2005 9:28:05 AM |

Unfortunately, the changes in the Constitution are not noted, so I have no fucking clue what I'm voting to change. 10/25/2005 2:32:27 PM |

You are voting to separate the Union Activities Board from the Board of Directors. The BOD is supposed to be an overseer of all the organizations within the Student Centers. However, as of now, the UAB holds 5 seats on the BOD. Therefore, we are trying to eliminate the dual roles involved and make it less bias. These two organizations also have two separate functions, so they are not as effective as they both could be. Therefore, we are trying to make both organizations more effective so they can serve the students better. The checks and balances are still there because the UAB and BOD president are elected by the student body. If you want anymore info., email me or something at vhstrang@ncsu.edu 10/25/2005 3:11:04 PM |
