these things are tons of fun. get a few friends together to do it, and itll be a blast. i've been to two of them so far. great deal for how much food you'll get out of it for the price you pay. 2/16/2006 8:34:14 PM |

to have fun.
but in a larger sense, the progressive dinner helps to encourage students to make use of hillsborough street establishments by allowing students to try out for the first time/rediscover/revisit their favorite restaurants. it has the overall goal to make hillsborough street a place to want to hang out at. which is good thing, since within a few years the redeisgn of hillsborough will be pedestrian friendly and hopefully on its way to having a more welcome atmosphere 2/17/2006 9:47:54 AM |

question: Is student government footing a bill to run the event this year?. I was under the impression that it was a fund raiser last year when i attended, but later found out that SG was helping us out. It was alot of fun and i would go again for the love of H St., but just wanted to get the facts straight.

The point of the Progressive Dinner on Hillsborough Street is to encourage State students to hang out on Hillsborough Street, it also helps out businesses since we do them on a Tuesday night, (usually a slow night). Student Gov't pays to cover the difference since obviously you can't get food for this cheap and give a tip. It's a blast!!! 2/23/2006 5:48:52 PM |

What are your plans for dinner on Tuesday night at 6, 7, or 8 pm? Don't have any? Well how about paying $10 to eat a 3-course mea on Hillsbourghl. No tax, no tips, just the flat rate of $10. I'm on a student government committee that has set a progressive dinner up with East Village, Farmhouse, and Gelato Cafe.
E. Village Apps:
Buffalo Wings Cheese Nachos Real Dixie Chili Mozzarella Sticks ACCeasar (Salad)
Farmhouse Entrees:
2 Slices of Pizza up to two toppings or a 6" sub choice of: Ham Turkey Italian Pepperoni Assorted Cheese Grilled Veggie Cheese Steak Chicken Cheese Steak Buffalo Chicken Finger Meatball Parm Chicken Parm Turkey Club
Gelato Cafe: Choose from any flavor of Italian Ice 2/27/2006 10:35:57 AM |
