They had a bad APR, which is deeply flawed as everyone knows. From what I've heard in the past (this may have changed - a lot of schools changed this because of the APR) they didn't allow the players to take abbreviated courses in the Spring even if they turned pro at UConn. They've had a lot players leave early for the draft and not finish out the semester and they got dinged for it.

It's certainly doesn't put them in a good light given the other stuff going on, but the APR is a joke.
