All we would do is promote Bobby Purcell, the man that should have gotten the AD job in the first place, from Senior Assoc. AD/Wolfpack Club Executive Director to the AD position. Trust me there are numerous people that want this, and I'm sure Murphy and Co. would make it happen b/c they already feel comfortable with him. Bobby is a true Wolfpacker. He grew up a State fan went to State, but had to transfer to UNC b/c we didn't offer what he wanted, but always says that his loyalty is to State. He's been with State for 23 years.

bobby purcell lovers out there... you are idiots. He couldn't do the job. Just because the results from this year isn't good doesn't mean its Lees fault. Lets think like an athlete here...
10 years ago... If you were a top athlete being recruited by the top programs with the top facilities... regardless of the coach would you come to NCSU? I dont think so. Part of being the athletics director is to try to BUILD the school so that people will want to come... therefore being a chain reaction to make the teams win games. Most of the facilities are finished now, and we are just NOW getting decent recruits.
(Its also hard when the coaches recruit the stars who don't want to work hard and quit.) Maybe you shouldn't be talking about the ad or even the coaches... after all its not them out there playing. And we all saw what they say when they played in high school or before the real competition came out.

Fowler is a joke of an AD. The facilities built during his reign are due to the Wolfpack club and a strong fan base, not anything Fowler has done. I cannot understand how he still has a job.

^^ first off interning for 2 semesters and being a family friend since I was born of Mr. Murphy's family. That is where I get my "info" and what I know. Why would I tell you what four names? That would be the dumbest thing to do. Knowing you and your 3 posts you would go off with the names. Ever heard of internal problems? Well yes that there are. I know Mr. Bobby would do a grand job. He is the CEO of our athletic department and his performance is well below that of similarly situated athletic directors.

This man needs to be fired before any good change can happen. Lee Fowler has never been held accountable and as such refuses to hold any of his employees accountable. This perverted sense of business ethic or simple lack thereof has resulted in the mediocrity and less than mediocre performance that we see at every level of Wolfpack athletics.

Why does everyone want to fire Fowler? He can't control wins and losses on the basketball court. Did you not like the Sidney Lowe hire? Did he not fire Herb soon enough? Was Tom O'Brien a bad hire? I don't think Fowler is a great AD or anything, but I never really hear any good reasons why he should be fired. I think he has done a decent job w/ the schedules (at least the part he can control) and hiring coaches/budgeting hasn't been too bad. Obviously our sports teams aren't performing very well, and Fowler is the head of the athletic department, but I'm still not really sure how much control he has over on the field performance.
