After everything calmed down and the doctors leave, my mother in law tell my wife how wonderful a her father is and how he's a "man who takes charge." At this point, my father in law plays along and says he had noticed she went pale, wasn't breathing, etc, and called the nurse. Why lie about something like this? Why even acknowledge the whole "I just saved your life" bit? Can't you just do what needs to be done and move on? The whole thing rubbed me the wrong way. If I wasn't there holding her hand, I'd probably be a sad lonely man. The cause of all of this was the nurse overdosing my wife on painkillers on top of her having a reaction to the nausea medication. Nausea meds gave her shortness of breath and the pain meds incapacitated her. "
