Through the website. Maybe you just got one of the ghetto checkout carts where only 3 wheels touch the ground.

no, you're missing my point

i'm saying its even more retarded to have to worry about fucking pennies...they're pretty much worthless...if i have to pay $1.99 for something with tax, I do not give a fuck about getting a penny back. Let the vendor keep it. And if something is $2.01 with tax, fuck it, round down.

Pennies are such a hassle, I've never heard someone advocate them as much as you. I think most people would happily get rid of pennies all together so we don't carry around worthless copper just because people can't "leave a penny, take a penny"

why don't we, the people of America, just get out of debt and burn half the amount of currency available to make the value increase?

Ditch pennies, nickles, and quarters and drop the decimal altogether. Make dimes a little bigger and $.50 pieces a little smaller. Add a $0.20 if you want.

The best thing to do with pennies nowadays is target practice while throwing them in the trash.

i, too, have had copper wiring and piping stolen from jobsites

but pennies != raw bulk copper

you don't see a little plastic tray on the counter at the convenience store that says "take a piece of copper pipe, leave a piece of copper pipe" do you?

lets do a survey:

you're walking down the street/sidewalk/parking lot and you see a coin on the ground...do you:

1. Take it no matter what coin it is
2. Only take it if its a quarter or higher

I made the switch from #1 to #2 when I was probably 10 years old

I also choose #1, but then all my change just ends up on top of the dryer, or on the floor, or in the ashtray of my car. This is why I hate coins.

I'll be on my third set. My first statement doesn't come for three months due to the "new card perk" that I really don't need. So I still don't know if I get rewarded or not.

I have a few one-dollar coins, but most machines just spit them back out at me - even ones that say they accept $1 coins.

Exactly. Plus, coins are just one additional pain in the ass for the government, because in order to create a coin, they must first obtain a natural resource that has actual value. That's the great thing about paper money - you can just assign any arbitrary value to a worthless piece of paper. It's very convenient to be able to create wealth at any time like that.

It's super terrible for the economy to have fake wealth like that.

No way it would get that high. It would just topple over. Just the slightest breeze. Or heavy footsteps.

Stacking coins that high is at most incredibly dangerous (if it toppled over it could really hurt people and property) and at least a total waste of time. Just leave the coins in the vaults at a reasonable height.

You used to be able to order these with a credit card for no extra charge.

then deposit in the bank

basically free points, but that went away a long time ago
