As far as underclassmen that might go pro…I don’t think we’ve got anybody that’s projected as a particularly high draft pick. So not as much reason to sit out as in years past (guys like Bradley Chubb, for example)

The analysts think:

Mark Schlabach and Fox Sports thinks the Pop Tarts Bowl (Orlando) (fka Blockbuster Bowl, fka Champs Sports Bowl) against OK State

Kyle Bonagura thinks the Gator Bowl (Jacksonville) against Tennessee

CBS Sports has us in ReliaQuest Bowl (Tampa) (fka Hall of Fame Bowl, fka Outback Bowl) against LSU I would love to see that but would doubt Jayden Daniels would play especially against our D.

So we are more than likely heading to Florida at end of December.

^^ I've heard a lot of smoke the Holiday Bowl really wants to make things up to us and that if we're available when it's their turn to pick, we're basically a shoe-in. It would be cool to go to the Orange Bowl, though, since we've never been.

(I guess we've never actually played in the Holiday Bowl either, but the Orange Bowl has more history for me)

My guess is orange bowl is a pipe dream. I think the committee would likely reward UL by ranking them ahead of us since they beat us head to head and were the 2nd best team in the conference. It might be different if we didn’t play UL so we didn’t have that head to head result.

I think if Louisville gets the ever-living shit beat out of them by FSU (think 56-0 or similar) then it is possible we pass them in the rankings. Otherwise, no chance in hell.

Other than that, i have no idea what is a "good" bowl anymore. I want to go to the poptart bowl because they apparently have an edible mascot.

As far as the far fetched scenario of us jumping Louisville for the Orange Bowl…

We are 19 and UL is 14. I guess I could see where UL getting smashed could drop them below us. Seems unlikely. But we’ll see how the committee values head to head. Because in that scenario UL would drop below both us and ND (currently 17)…both teams they beat head to head.
