Not counting your own or family members. I've been in 4 already and am going to be in one in October and another next June. The bachelor's parties have all been fun, but the weddings are just ehh. I realize it's more for the bride and groom and their parents, but out of the 4, only one has been really fun (at least the reception).

I'm just glad I wasn't in a fraternity. I have friends who have to go to weddings all the damn time. It gets expensive.

I've been in two. Was supposed to have been in a third, but apparently the girl didn't understand the concept of giving up other sources of cock.

I was best man for a wedding in 1997, when i was fucking 19. Big surprise, that he's already divorced.

I was a groomsman in another in '02, and a groomsman for one in a few weeks.

Oddly enough, the only wedding I've been in besides my own was my dad's (when he married my step-mom) at the ripe age of 13. In the past year I have attended 2 other weddings but not been in them.

6 ... it's got to be my turn soon! I'm sick of paying $200 for an ugly dress that gets worn for a few hours and then joins the others in the back of my closet. I'm going to pay all my attendants' expenses so no one ever says that about me.

for those of you who are best men/ groomsmen... do you feel obligated from there to have those guys in your wedding? I mean, if i got married tomorrow, i'd have to have like 7 groomsmen, not including my brother as best men. i think i'll probably go with 3 groomsmen, and 4 or 5 ushers. we'll see. i just want all my boys there, and it's gonna be tough to do without stepping on any toes.

I know what you mean. There are a lot of people I should have in mine, and who to ask to be best man will be particularly tough.

I think it will depend on part on how many bridemaids the other side will have, since you know women run the damned thing anyways.

^^^i've thought about that too. it really is gonna depend on what my bride wants more than anything. i know who would be in my wedding party if it were 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 people. i don't think it would be stepping on any of their toes. i'm good friends with all of them, but i'm better friends with a couple of them than the others. i would like to have all of them in my wedding if possible though (at least being ushers).

Just once in the wedding party. Maid of honor this past Saturday.

I have on numerous occassions been "that friend" to save the day by driving up bridesmaids dresses that were taken in for last minute alterations and only made ready after the wedding party left for the rehearsal, or doing some other crazy thing day of.

For friends? One. As a swordsman, I can't count. We used to toss on our dress unis in the spring to help out at the weddings at the Naval Academy chapel. Takes about 16-20 swordsmen to fill the steps.

I won't have my dad as the best man - that'll go to my brother.

I know plenty of idiots throwing their lives away early.

GG on ruining some future kid's childhood. I'm sure their kids are going to have fun journeying between mommy and daddy's house all the time.

i totally 100% know what ya mean man.

i dunno why they're gettin married at 22, 23... it's so young. and maybe they are in love, who am i to say, hell, i dont know what love is. but still, it just seems like if they truly love each other, they can wait at least until their late 20s

but best of luck to 'em anyway

i've been a flower girl twice, once when i was 6, once when i was 21

i've lost count the number of weddings i've been to but a rough estimate is probably 10 in the last 3 years that i've at least been invited to that i've sent a present even if I did not attend.
