My brother in law is a rare gem.......

Sister just gave birth to a baby on Saturday by c-section. They got home and my bro in law made dinner last night. Except, he made salmon and egg salad. My sister doesn't eat fish and has never eaten eggs in her life. He knows this. So instead of offering to make her something, he ate the dinner and she had to throw a frozen pizza in the oven. He then didn't want to sleep downstairs with her and the new baby - so she went upstairs (not supposed to given she just had a c-section)

Mother in law took in her boyfriend's granddaughter. The granddaughter was a foster child for years, as grandfather was off on ships the entire time and her mother was/is a worthless drug addict. Her uncles are also worthless.

Long story short, MIL thought she could "save" this kid. Kid was and is a worthless drug addict. Anyway, she forces this girl (17 at the time) to go to family events and the like. So on one boat trip to the beach, she forces this girl to come along.

MIL decides cooler full of beer and liquor should stay on the boat, foster kid stays on the boat. Of course foster kid gets into the alcohol.

We all get back on the boat, foster kid is acting erratic. MIL is also a nervous wreck at this. Foster kid tells me that she "wants to fuck me and my buddy's wife". I am also married, to what is her pseudo-sister. She also proclaimed that she has a lot of experience with girls and that my buddy's wife is "sexy as hell".

Back at dock, girls go to bathroom. She basically sexually attacks my buddy's wife. She comes running out of bathroom all freaked out. My buddy thinks it's funnier than hell. I told them what she'd said to me, buddy's wife is further freaked out.

Girl continues to act erratic as all hell. We get back home, MIL says all of this is our fault because we had alcohol and had nothing to do with her forcing that girl to come along when she didn't want to, nor her decision to leave this girl alone on a boat with a cooler full of alcohol that she wouldn't allow to be brought up to the beach.

I get along great with my MIL, step-father-in-law, 4 brothers-in-law, and ok with my FIL. He's kinda worthless but doesn't really cause me any trouble.

of course, I spent a lot of time with all of them before ever proposing, and had I been in for a shitty in-law situation, I probably would have peaced out.

I have a great in-law situation, actually the best I know of compared to friends and my siblings. The only issue is my father in law's wife (not my wife's mother). She is only about 8 years older than my wife and is a snobby bitch that has never had kids, but likes to tell us how to raise our daughter.

The rest of my wife's family is cool as hell and great to visit and spend time with. If they did not all live up in cold ass up-state NY, I'd like to go back and live in my wife's hometown.

My brother's MIL is a raging alcoholic, FIL died in car accident.

Sister's MIL is pure white trash as is the rest of her husband's family. Her husband has like three dad's (MIL is a big old whore, been married 4 times) and has never even met his real father. His brothers will one day be in prison - guaranteed.

Another one of the brother in law.

My two sisters, my dbag bro in law and two of my nieces went to disney world, cause they won a free trip. On the way back my sister (the one married to the dbag) was really sick - throwing up and everything. They finally got on the train to get back from BWI and she was still feeling awful. My other sister was holding the two kids (1 and almost 3). The 1 year old got pissed and reared her head and started screaming. My dbag bro in law looked at my sick sister and said to her "why don't you act like a mother?"

I think he wanted kids - he just doesn't know how to handle children at all. He didn't grow up with lots of kids around.

PLUS - he firmly believes that the woman has certain roles (ie, anything having to do with the children and the house)
