Binder clips can be used as tweezers in a pinch (no pun intended).

A few times, when I've left home without a hair band (which is usually on my wrist), I've used a paper clip or binder clip to hold back my hair.

I use (medium) binder clips for tons of stuff ... Chip bag closers ... I put them on the top of hangers and use them for hanging pants (they slide down on the angle and keep the pants nice).
