Read a great book on my kindle recentley and it was only 99 cents so I thought I would share....posted it in entertainment first and they said I should post here instead....guess reading isn't considered entertainment anymore

For someone who has made two threads about a book, your reading comprehension doesn't seem to be that great.

First off, "they" didn't say you should post anything over in Tech Talk, one person mentioned that there was a big Kindle thread over in Tech Talk. Which, if anything, means that you should use the search feature of this website in order to find that thread and add to it, if you think it's necessary. However, this being Tech Talk, as you mentioned, you might notice that that thread is probably geared more towards the discussion of technical aspects of the device and discussion on the pros and cons of buying it versus a nook, iPad, or other ebook reader. So your initial instinct to post over in the Entertainment section was at least somewhat correct, no matter what "they" told you.

However, there were still a couple of things wrong with your thread over in Entertainment. Firstly, your thread title sucks, to put it bluntly. Are you trying to start a new thread to perpetually discuss new books for the kindle, or are you trying to promote the one book that you mentioned? Because your thread title says one thing, and the body of your post says another. If you were trying to start a thread to discuss many different books, there's already several threads for that purpose. If you were just trying to promote/recommend this particular book, that's what those threads are made for. Here's a thread specifically for talking about ebooks, and here's one about books in general. Feel free to post about your book over there.

The worst thing you could have done to promote the book is to make a new thread, with a misleading title and post a link to a book without actually saying much of anything about the actual plot of the book. Actually, let me take that back, the real worst thing you could have done was make TWO threads with misleading titles and links to the book, etc etc. You see people get a little bent out of shape around here when needless threads are created. The thing is that this website is only designed to take 999,999 threads and when it hits a million then it goes away forever. And as you can see from the address bar, we are now over 600,000. Which means we've only got a year or two left, at best. So you see, by you creating these two threads, that's several precious seconds of this website that we will never get to experience. Hopefully next time you'll be more careful with making threads. This is how dreams get shattered.

Thanks El Nacho ..... no need to for the sarcastic, demeaning tone though. A simple you shouldn't post twice "we", whoever that means, only have 999,999 threads would have been more than sufficient to get your point across. But whatever its your time wasted not mine. Have a good day!
