february, 2010.

i get an email from a dear photographer friend,

he tells me that he received an email from a guy who says someone is using one of his pics of me pretending like it was her.

this isn't the first time this has happened....by any stretch.
i kinda laughed and proceeded to follow up with the email sender.

he sends me her social networking links.



oh.my.lord.

she had started her myspace is 2004 and the pictures dated back that far too.
so yeah...this girl had been using my pictures for SIX YEARS.

she had a twitter.
and a facebook.
she had a few hundred friends and followers.
(except her facebook account was kinda low, but i think that may have had something with the fact that im pretty sure thats where she was ripping most of my stuff plus i found out later that she got "found out" by a lot of people on there and just starting purging)



to top it all off-she made up profiles of about 4 or 5 of my friends and would comment on her own profile, tag herself in "their" pics to make it seem more legit.

she had made up all of these stories about my friends.
she made cody a twitter too and pretending that "her" and him broke up.
ariel was my sister.
kayden was her son.

it goes on.
she apparently was having long, online relationships with men and then when they ask to meet up she would shy away.
i talked to several of these guys.
she would send them "snapshots" from her phone which ultimately just were my pics she had downloaded. and sent.

these relationships were apparently intense.

i apologized to them.



i found out her name and address and all that jazz but it seemed pointless.
i was so curious.
why?
i mean, pretending to be someone else screwing around for a little bit- i GUESS i can maybe understand that.
but 6 years?
what could you accomplish out of that?
i messaged her and asked her.
i wasn't mean or anything.
why?





she deleted everything.
i still don't know what happened to her.

but those are the only details because it still kinda creeps me out and i wouldn't be surprised if stalker weirdo was one of you people

what's really scary is that this reminds me of an episode of SNAPPED

where this one woman kidnapped this other woman and stole her baby because she wanted that woman's life. and she told everyone she was the woman she kidnapped (like at her place of work and her "life" was really the woman she kidnappeds life). she even had a baby shower or something and people from her work came. but she stole the baby (it might have been a cut the baby out situation, i can't remember)

i forget how it ended or how they figured it out

a few weeks ago, slave famous brought to my attn that ive got a real doppleganger twitter person out there, using my whole name as his @name (but it's his name too, just the only other person ive ever come across w/ my name)... he is on facebook too, i think he's from the same town as hansblo
