I've grown tired of listening to music while working in the shop....so I started listening to podcasts a few years ago. I'm always looking for more ways to fill my ears for 6 hours while i work..
please share any podcast recommendations here.!
currently I listen to:
rogan, carolla (going downhill slowly though), nerdist sometimes, TNT, and sometimes a little SMOD.

please share any podcasts that you listen to! they don't have to be comedy only...

didn't notice that much difference in content with new sponsors..
its his fucking rants about the same god damn thing every time..

hes a funny guy...but I think his memory is fading, he doesn't remember that he has ranted on the same fucking things OVER and OVER

FWIW i listen to NPR's "this american life" when i can't sleep

im out like a light in 10min or less, every time. it's my own personal lunesta

i also used to listen to "60 second psych" which was cool, it gave you a 1min overview of some new research and topics out there in the psychology field

Carolla, i actually love most avenues of his work. in fact, his film The Hammer is a favorite of mine. a few years ago his podcast was great and he had some incredible guests that would come on. Once he started taking on sponsors and having fill-in hosts his guests became has beens and nobodies. And you're right, he began to rant about the same things over and over again. If it's improved, great.

a lot of this was around the time he was filming a network sitcom pilot which was never picked up. he wasn't into the podcasts, and after the sitcom cancellation seemed to not give a damn about anything

if you like film podcasts i recommend the Slash Film podcast. It's less comedy, but they're usually weekly and about 2 hours. The first half covering film and entertainment news and the second half is a review/discussion of a currently released movie.

i got hooked on that one when they did a restro-review of Groundhog Day with guest Stephen Tobolowsky (Ned...Ned Ryerson!)

wheres my 40 acres - a comedic hip hop and general commentary,funny as hell, also reviews albums
hood hype - focused on underground hip hop, album reviews, and general hilarious bullshitting
hip hop talk show - hosted by DJs and producers, focus on mainstream hip hop with a focus on production
the hip hop show with j pitts - spend an hour typically focusing on the music of a specific label, artist, region or whatever. These guys really dig in the crates
orvis fly fishing guide podcast
the black guy who tips - Ratchet ass comedy and general ignorance, lol
black talk radio - actually based out of charlotte, just discussions about racial issues in NC andaround the world

Michael savage - you all probably know this guy, i think he is awesome personally

his podcast isn't his comedy at all...ive never really heard any of his standup


the podcast is usually just crazy conversations with other comedians..funny most of the time

he rarely discusses MMA unless his guest is into it..

Riddick and Reynolds is pretty good. The latest cast had Whitt and Ernie Myers on it talking about V.

The previous one had a former 25 year NandO sports writer who talked about the anti-NCSU perception/reality.

worth a listen.

I need more comedy podcasts, only one I listen to now is "the Tim Dillon show" he's pretty good at saying ridiculous things in a funny way. The ad reads are often best part so don't need to skip forward like most podcasts

^^ I like dumb people town. It’s the Sklar brothers and Dan Van Kirk plus a guest just riffing on weird news stories for an hour. It’s pretty fun and funny to me. I also enjoy Judge John Hodgman. It’s like civil court for petty personal disputes.
