I have a friend...

Who is taking a trip on an airplane in the near future and is hoping to bring along a very small bit of his herbal medicine on the trip. Do you think this friend would be best served to...

a) Put his medicine inside a piece of folded up paper and just carry it in his pocket?

b) Put his medicine inside a sealed glass vial that hangs as a charm on a necklace?

c) Put his medicine inside a sealed glass vial and just carry it in his pocket?

d) Put his medicine loose inside his pocket no vial/no paper?

Last time said friend took a trip, he got to his destination, and realized that he had a Altoid Minis tin full of medicine in his carry on, that he didn't even realize was there prior to departure. Kinda made him wonder...

PS: Do they still have those cancer machines operating at ARRR DU? I heard tell that they were no more. (Past three weeks)

if you don't have a checked bag, I wouldn't do it

to state the obvious, your person will be inspected in the scanner, and the contents of your carry-on will be inspected in the x-ray machine. and you're going to have to put the weed in one of those two places

So.. the obvious safest option is not to take it. And seriously, don't take it on an international flight. But if you're going to. I'd put it in a plastic bag in your hygiene kit in your checked luggage, and be smart about where it is in the hygiene kit. TSA does random searches.... but they're not super thorough.
International flights will involve WAAAAY more screening on both you and your baggage. Don't try it if you're flying outside of the continental US.

Where is said friend going? Someone might know someone that lives in your friends destination.

If not then empty out half of a shampoo bottle. Triple bag medicine. Put medicine in shampoo bottle. Fill bottle back up with shampoo. Make sure your friend have other toiletries and not just one shampoo bottle.


A long time ago I accidentally had a bag I never sold in my inside coat pocket. It was a snowboarding coat with pockets all over the inside. I forgot it was even in there and few weeks went by and I headed to the airport because I was flying up to Ohio for Christmas to visit big moms. I went to the security booth and put everything in the bin folded up my coat and put my shoes on top. I was in Ohio for like five days and I went to go put my cigs in that inside pocket and felt something. It was the bag of weed lol.

My friend made it to his destination successfully and without incident. Apparently, he folded it up inside a piece of paper, and placed said paper inside a book in his carry on. Cheers...
