Yes I am aware but we competed for it this year which took FSU and Louisville being shittastic and BC and WF being our tougher games. If only Clemson could have been having a down year as well or made a few more mistakes in our game. I would take 7-1 and second in the Atlantic every year and have them build Doeren a statue if that became consistent haha.

In 1995, UVA beat FSU. Both finished 7-1 still since UVA lost another game and they were co-champions. In 1998, FSU beat GT and lost to us and GT and FSU were co-champions at 7-1.

In both cases, FSU still got the BCS bowl bc of rank.

This would be like the 1998 scenario I guess.

to be fair to unc...didn't they win the tie breaker for the actual division title that year? obviously they were banned from post season play so it doesn't matter...or am i wrong on the tie breaker thing?

while i think hanging a banner is lame for losing the tie breaker (and thereby losing the division) - i'm not against giving the players a ring. the ncaa allows it, players and recruits probably really like it...so why not.

Have we ever played a night game in Winston? I'm sure we have -- just can't remember one.

Also worth mentioning that Wake just hung 64 points on Syracuse. That's nearly double the amount the amount any team has scored on Syracuse this year (including us).

Of course, Cuse got 43 on them. But still -- holy hell Wake. Going to be a much tougher game than i thought a couple weeks ago.
