i don't think they'll change much. they haven't been great the past few years anyway. dale jr. will still be in the booth. there are plenty of likable drivers to pull for. i think most of the casual fans have already left at this point.

Also, there is an IMSA Prototype Race (1 hr 45 m) at 1:25 pm at Daytona that will be live on http://www.imsa.com today. This weekend is called "The Roar Before the 24." Porsche turned the fastest GTLM laps with the Fords right behind them. Penske is returning to Prototype racing with an Acura this season. A bunch of Indy drivers are moving to IMSA this season to join that team.

To be honest, Chevy would've just hitched their wagon to someone else. There are series where teams/owners, their presence definitely affects the series for better or worse. F1 would look different without Ferrari. Indycar would look different without Penske. Remove Hendrick and I think life goes on about the same for NASCAR, another owner would've done the multi-car team, Ford and GM would've eventually pushed for it. Someone was going to hire Jeff Gordon and he would've become a star. That's a plus for NASCAR in its history by the way.

Hendrick almost got removed by federal charges. Then he got cancer that kept him out of prison and eventually paid the Democratic Party enough money that then-president Clinton gave him a pardon.
