are any of your girls sporting a little more weight than most?

That's not a good cut for big arms/busty females It also makes it hard for those types to wear a good bra.

Now if all your girls are skinny and flat chested, GREAT CHOICE

They all wear a size two, but have good sized boobs. Makes it very easy to pick dresses.

And this dress has a lined top, but also works very well with a strapless bra. There's a lot of give in the top for room for bigger boobs.

This sounds so naive. There is a huge range in catering and it doesn't all come down to price. I went to a wedding once where they had everything catered by Smithfield's BBQ and it was great.

If you want really good value for your money, I highly recommend this place:

I need some feedback on Bridesmaids dresses- sorry to those who have already read my posting a couple pages back.. Any bride or bridesmaid- current or past- I need your feedback! This survey is only 10 questions and I would really appreciate it if you could answer some to help me out.

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=uUbByO7oecQimIfAo4e1qQ_3d_3d

Thanks so much!

^^ my band wrote and played all the music for a friend's wedding 3 years ago

but in all honesty, what do you need, a "guitar player" is extremely vague unfortunately. if you just need someone to strum some open chords on an acoustic then you have your pick of tons of people out there. if you are wanting someone to write pieces or play something more complicated like jazz pieces then you are looking for someone totally different

^^ The coding on that survey is messed up. It doesn't let you choose an option for each category in #2. And the wording of the scale on #2 isn't very clear. It should be something like Very Important - Important - Kind of Important - Least Important - Not Important/No Influence

I know, thanks for pointing that out. I can't figure out how to change it so it'll have to do.

Big thanks to the people who have already taken it. Your responses really help!!

How can the responses be helpful if you can't even answer all the questions? Not trying to troll, just being realistic. If I were you I would try making a new poll if you don't know how to fix the existing one.

textile technology
TE: textile engineering
TXM: textile and apparel management (but now it's FTM: fashion and textile mgmt )
PCC: polymer and color chem (lots of folks still use TC: textile chem)

I don't know why so many of us prefer saying "I'm a TT" instead of "I'm in textile technology", but we do and I guess it's a textile thing Totally something a good many of us do reflexively

Do the engineers prefer saying "I'm a CE/EE/CPE/MAE/CSC" to "My major is..."?

I'm not looking for any particular type of person, but a real representation of the market for bridesmaid's dresses. I really appreciate anyone who has taken the survey.

Can anyone recommend any local bridal shops that are friendly and approachable? I've heard horror stories about a few around here and how the owners are not very friendly.

Tre Bella in Durham...Kate is very nice!!

Okay--wedding bands. My dearly beloved likes tungsten. We went to helzberg, zales and Carlyle in crabtree today (we didn't go to reeds bc of the service we received when looking for engagement rings) and helzberg was the only with tungsten and a large selection. What other jewelers in the area carry tungsten and have a large selection of bands? Thanks!!

Already checked blue nile and antique jewelry mall and they don't sell tungsten bands. If you have an online reputable jeweler you'd reccommend that'd be great.

if anyone has local suggestions, we still need those...we'd like to try more on before checking online for the same or similar ring at a comparable or better price. TIA

as far as my wedding band goes, does anyone have experience with their guys and their rings getting scratched? It needs to be gold so I'm thinking of just going with 10k or something because I'm afraid of it getting scratched up quick with all the sports, gym, and guitar stuff I do (basically a lot of stuff with my hands that I feel like would scratch the ring if it were 14k or higher)

that's why we're going with tungsten...most durable for men that do a lot of work with their hands. does it need to be gold b/c you like gold, b/c you and your lady want to match, or b/c of an allergy?

my wedding band is platinum with a hammered finish for the majority of it and i hit it on things all the time and it has no noticeable signs of wear and tear in a year and a half - the only 2 time i take it off for are when i play tennis b/c i'm left handed and it bothers me and when i play soccer

LK, Saw you were looking for Tungsten rings!

I got Dennis one from here: http://www.titaniumkay.com They are super affordable and they also do laser engraving. They have a ton of good reviews.

This is the one I got Dennis: http://www.titaniumkay.com/ICARUS-Tungsten-Carbide-Wedding-Band-Ring-P103483.html and he loves it

I know you want to look around more which is good but also look there for something similar to what Justin ends up liking. I'm sure you'll pay less online than at a jewelry store.

the tradition of the garter was to actually hold up the panty hose, so there are supposed to be 2. One is for the toss and one is to keep. Some brides just get one b/c they don't care to give up the one...I got two. One is more personal in our colors with my new initials and our wedding date on it...the other is just complimentary to my wedding colors.

I haven't picked my second one. But my first garter (the one to keep) is the one my grandmother, mother and sister all wore on their wedding days.
