sir i can afford any of there products, but i firmly believe that there is nothing wrong with saving money if and when you can. my smartphone is lovely, and i really can't compare it to an iphone, and as i said those reasons i stated are why I don't have an iphone.

i like the iphone, i have one, hell i've even managed to crack the fucking screen on mine and still love it. i've had damn near every smart phone i could get my hands on over the last few years and none of them were as easy to use as the iphone. the treo 650 was damn close, and with a few improvements i probably would have liked it better..but still i prefer the iphone. it really isn't that bad but for some reason half of the techie people out there have decided they hate apple for some reason and give everybody shit about everything apple makes... get over it

I never said that everyone that bought the iphone was a sheep or whatever. I'm really not trying to hate on it that much. I actually will probably end up getting one later if they ever get GPS, 3G, and 16 or 32GB of Memory. Technically, ATT's implementation of EDGE is 3G, but it still isn't going away anytime soon even after widespread deployment of HSDPA.

The problem with Edge is that there's no real direct upgrade to UMTS. ATT will have to buy new equipment. This is the reason that Edge deployment has stalled in Europe where there are lots of carriers and nobody wants to pay the money for a network that neighbors don't support.

I didn't get any warranty. Still have 10 more months on the warranty, and I could sign up for AppleCare right before the end of warranty coverage. No, dropping is not covered, and ATT/Cingular doesn't provide any insurance.
