Looking for a 1911 in good or better condition from Colt, Springfield, Rock Island, Kimber, S&W, Sig, Caspian, STI, or Norinco...or Wilson Combat or Les Baer (but not really willing to pay for one).

Let me know if you have one and I'll let you know what I'm willing to pay.
I would prefer a Mil-spec or basic factory custom piece as I'll be modifying it myself anyway.
Prefer stainless too.

FYI: for those of you who are either active duty, reserve military, or federal LEOs; Sig Sauer is offering discounts on certain firearms.

According to the program, you have to e-mail them proof of service (ID card, DD214, etc.) indicating your status from a .mil or .gov e-mail address and they'll contact you with the rest.

Disclaimer: My only affiliation with Sig Sauer is the fact that I used to own a P229.

^^^ Lawmen's has good prices all around, and you don't have to be a cop or EMS to buy from them (unless you wanna buy a badge or a light bar or something).

I've got a Browning BDM 9mm for sale. This is an unusual gun in that it has both Double-Action and Double-Action-Only modes(I've read it was designed with law enforcement in mind). For a double stacked handgun, it's amazingly thin. Comes with two ten-round magazines, and the 15-round variety are easy to come by. It has safeties on both sides so I'd imagine it would be good for a left-handed shooter. It's in great shape, clean and in the original case. Looking for around $375.

If you've been in Raleigh lone enough for whatever length the residence requirement is then bring a piece of mail from a bank or NCSU with your name and raleigh address (unless its a campus address of course) to the sherriff's office when you apply for the permit.
I did that when I was at state and had a durham co license.
