umm, for trades:
-mossberg 500A Persuader (check my gallery, I've a factory stock fore grip on it now) -remington 760 pump, .30-06 with 3-9x40 scope (off brand), pretty damned good cond. - got a mosin nagant.... not worth much tho.
ive got a wood stocked winchester 1300 defender (18" barrel, 6 shot), but im not really wanting to let it go unless the price is right 10/14/2007 9:51:09 PM |

Im looking for a NER or H & R handi rifle in 30-06 or 7mm if anyone happens to have one. I have looked all over the web and cant find any prices for them. I have much better deer guns but want a single shot to leave in the truck behind the seat. 10/15/2007 2:22:19 AM |

Special order one from Walmart or Dick's. Should be around $250-27510/15/2007 11:09:22 AM |

7mm shoots a little flatter and faster than a .308. My other option is a 30-06 because I already have a remington 700 30-06 and it would be nice to stick with one caliber of ammo.
Im also thinking about getting one in .500 s&w. If I can find a deal on ammo.10/15/2007 9:31:25 PM |

^^^^^ i know, i shoot a remington 700 in 7mm REM.
i'm saying that there's no point in it on whitetails, black bear, or boar unless you are going to take shots at greater than, say, 300 yds...
and if it's a beanfield rifle you want, a Handi-Rifle prob ain't gonna cut it.
i got mine because i knew there's a good chance i'd spend some time living out west...might get a long shot on a deer or take it elk hunting or something. 10/17/2007 1:17:30 AM |

^^^^ Yes, Take his class and then fill out the paperwork at the sheriff's office. Its a really good class to take just to learn where exactly the line is in the use of deadly force and your rights as they stand in N.C. I learned alot and had fun doing it. Plus you get to go shoot guns !!!!! 10/17/2007 9:29:20 PM |

The handi rifles can hold their own at long distances. I mainly hunt fields and I shot a doe at over 450 yards last year with my remington 700 30-06. I would just rather have a 7mm than a .308.
I would also like to have it in s & w .500. That would make a hell of a brush gun.10/18/2007 5:57:49 PM |

yeah, a rem 700 will definitely do it (if the shooter is up to the task). i've shot a 3/4 MOA group with mine, although a little over 1 MOA is prob about all i could do regularly. 10/18/2007 6:17:51 PM |

my only problem shooting is that my shooting eye has horrible vision. I hae started shooting left handed from a bench or when im in the stand. The doe I killed at 450 yards was shot left handed and im right handed. 10/18/2007 9:58:13 PM |

Or unless you quail, dove, squirrel, or deer hunt...or if you shoot in 3 gun matches. My hunting shotgun is a Mossberg 500 with 18" barrel and ghost ring sights. Nothing wrong with hunting using a "tactical" firearm to hunt.10/22/2007 3:41:06 PM |
