I think that Doug Burgum is the only remaining likely candidate who hasn't either rashes Trump or been trashed by him, or both. If Trump picks Vance, Biden or aligned PACs should run nonstop ads featuring Vance's previous comments about Trump and people who voted for Trump.

^^ I remember seeing Vance on anthony bordain's show and he seemed reasonable. I read an interview where some reporter met him at a regional conference early in this rightwing shift, and he seems to be in on whatever scheme Peter Thiel cooked up to help trump, he's not a true believer and everyone knows it, but he's playing some role that was assigned for him and he's happy to do it. I think white nationalism is ancillary to whatever Trump and his peoples' true goals are.

Not necessarily unexpected, but still surprised trump being convicted of a felony seems to have only shifted the polls .5% in Biden's directions-- not enough for Biden to win yet.

Based on reddit, even people who dont like trump seem to genuinely believe biden and every other politician is committing the same crimes and just not getting prosecuted.


Being the end of June, almost July, it's time to panic about the polls. This isn't looking good for Biden. Barring an October surprise, Trump is going to win the election.

they jibe more with what the polls look like to my eyeballs, Trump has a ~66% chance of winning. 538 classic is saying 50% which doesn't make sense.

I didn't think anything I saw was very surprising given what we already know. Biden looked old and weak. Well, he is. He got in a couple good punches in the second half.

Trump gave no policy of any kind. Everything was either the best or the worst in history depending on which direction he was wanting to spin. Of course I watched with my own pre-existing biases and with perhaps a better awareness than the average voter about history and the issues. Sure, Biden had several stumbling and wandering responses and word mix-ups. I thought it was quite obvious how often Trump completely failed to answer the original question. One time they gave him three chances. Three strikes.
