We had 1 TO with clock stopped at 6 seconds. Run a play, the previous deep slant took 4 seconds. A short slant is 3-4 seconds.

Yeah I gotcha. The announcers seemed to think we had another TO after that. I thought that’s what you were saying.

But yeah. That was fucking stupid. Doeren is not a good in game coach. Time and time again he fucks up TOs and clock situations.

Not only did we settle for a 58 yard FG. But we sent out the kick off man with 3 career FG attempts. I guess he has a stronger leg but…come on. You dont settle for that FG especially when you don’t even have a kicker you trust to make it

And did we actually set up the FG with a kicker whose long field goal was 52 yards, then WF iced him, then we put in a kicker whose long field goal was 40 yards?

I think it was Smith the whole time. Graphic originally did show Vinsette’s name and stats but announcers were saying Smith all along. Already answered sorry

In defense of the TO thing. A possible explanation is that GT clock operator ran it down to 5. Arguably not enough time for a play and a FG. So DD calls a TO. Then they correct it back to 6 seconds. Idk. Just offering a possible explanation for that dumb ass TO.

Sure, unless you take penalties on the ensuing plays. Or the college kicker shanks the field goal. Or GT blocks it. Or you fumble. Plus GT still had a timeout.
