The Liverpool and Arsenal matches left for Chelsea at the end of the month is where the title will be decided. If they win both of they'll have a big enough cushion that it's all but over.

After what happened with both teams last week I can't wait to see how this City match unfolds at the weekend.

"I would say that it's hilarious seeing a fan of a Jose Mourinho coached club complain about negative (it wasn't by the way) football with a lead but we know Jose is a delicate snowflake so I don't want to upset him.

Wazza is an interesting case study in brainwashing tho. United can do no wrong."

Again you will only pick and choose what you want to to try to force a narrative. I have criticized United plenty of times so I dare you to go back and dig those up as enthusiastically as you lot dig up predictions that haven't materialized. And to add to your bullshit narrative I have complained about referees all year and yes that goal was offside yesterday but on the balance of play you would have to have some very anti united glasses to say a draw wasn't a fair result.

You want the stats behind Uniteds long ball football:
- Liverpool has played 1,412 long balls to Uniteds 1,345.
- Now you may say liverpool pass the ball more so it makes sens. Ok here are the long ball as a percentage of passes: 11.85% for Man United vs 11.25% for liverpool. Yes that whopping .60% difference makes us a route one team.

The fact is simple. We played good football yesterday and it was clear as day for anyone watching that Liverpool's high press created a lot of problems for us in the first half. So what does Jose do? He takes Carrick off to stop building from the back and spread the ball to the wings more. That isn't working too well despite the high pressure from United in the second half. So we bring on Fellaini to buy pass the midfield and go more direct. I have been saying for ages Fellaini is best utilized in these situations and it was there for all to see.

I am sorry your beloved Jurgen Klopp is salty that we didn't play into Liverpools hands by continuing to get overrun by the press. With comments like "When Mourinho brought on Fellaini it wasn’t football anymore." Sorry Jurgen we didn't continue playing to the strengths of your team. Was it football when Jurgen brought on Caulker as striker against Arsenal?

When you criticize Mourinho for constantly being petulant you should also call a spade a spade when you see it right? Jurgen was extremely petulant after the game and even on the sidelines. Its hilarious when you lot think I can't deny when United do something bad but yesterday we came to play football, I am sorry that it was anathema to a hypocrite like Klopp though and we didn't play into his hands.

Recommend the Becoming Zlatan doc. It's on Netflix and shows old interviews and footage of him and teammates at Malmo, Ajax, and Juventus. Pretty cool.

I wouldn't be too hard on Jurgen. Hair loss treatments can have massive side effects. Case in point: His temper

Becoming Zlatan is a cool doc. Absolutely lucky to get that kind of early footage on a future superstar. They weren't even there for him and just making a documentary on Malmo. I do wish there was more footage from his days in Italy though.

I don't know how much you lot have seen of Zlatan in press conferences but the guy has been a revelation. His media persona and quotes are so tongue in cheek that if you don't actually watch him or know anything about him they came across as arrogant. In truth he is actually pretty well spoken and pragmatic. His interview with NBC after the derby was a good example.

I knew he was a great player, albeit at 35 I didn't expect this kind of production. However the man is an amazing professional and a leader. Zlatan is a fergie player if I have ever seen one. Very impressed with how he has handled himself on and off the pitch this year.

Zlatan is an interesting guy. I'll admit I thought he was basically going to United for one last big paycheck but the guy plays with so much passion it's fun to watch. I guess I always thought he was a loafer for some reason..

^ If you are a reader I would recommend his book. Very interesting. I agree with a lot of what you said. I thought Zlatan was here to cash in and chip in maybe 15 PL goals before officially retiring to the MLS or something. However he has made himself an integral part of the squad and his passion is amazing. No wonder Jose wanted him here, the guy loves to win and does everything to do so. Don't regret spending over the top to go watch him play his last match for Sweden, I am very happy and hope we give him that one year extension.

Pirlo's book is next for me. I love having insight into football from great players.

Wait, Klopp said Swansea were incredible last game?

Um, Arsenal destroyed them and the game before that Hull beat them.

Go Stoke now..

Pep should savage Mariner.

Dead on penalty and red card at one end ignored and Spurs go down to score.

A tie is my best case though..

Only top 6 team we have left away now is Pool in mid-Feb. Every other match worthy of discussion is at WHL where we never lose. I'm pretty damn glad we got all the tough ones out of the way before the Spring to build momentum down the home stretch.

Long way to go yet, but I think we're in pretty firm position for top 4 if everyone remains relatively healthy.

Really glad we got City out of the way before Jesus gets rolling. In those few minutes he was on, you can could see some real quality. He's going to be a terror for the league.

another good documentary rec: Trainer!

In German with subtitles, but really good. It extensively follows a handful of German coaches with additional interviews of others looking at what a coach's job is like in the professional level.

It sucks that there are so many douches around Charlotte that are steadfast opposed to funding a site for an MLS team here. Over 40 people spoke last night, and it was 2:1 in favor from the speakers, but it sounds like the council remains unconvinced.

It would be super easy to demolish decrepit memorial stadium right next to uptown which is owned by the county, and then use that land to put a smallish soccer-specific stadium there. Combine that with a sugar daddy ownership group lead by the Smiths and it has the makings of a decent franchise.

Not to mention that this area is a hotbed for the game at the youth level so there would plenty of interest from community. I'd be a season ticket holder from day 1. It's an order of magnitude cheaper to take the wife/kid to a match than either the Hornets or Panthers where you're staring at $500+ after tickets, food etc.

The county is scheduled to vote on their part of the stadium deal tomorrow. Do the right thing CLT.

Here's a nice summation of the events http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/local/article128535984.html

Pretty sure that North Carolina F.C. (formally the Railhawks) are moving for an MLS franchise. Absolutely makes sense for either city to get it though really - both are incredibly strong markets for an MLS team and I would love to not have to go all the way to Atlanta or D.C. for the nearest games.

I mean, all trolling aside, if any other of the biggest clubs in England were having a period like this the manager would be under extreme pressure.

I still think Klopp is a fantastic manager but he needs to start getting better results.

are you joking? "Under pressure" meaning close to getting fired? It's definitely a bad run of results but damn. Knee jerk reaction much.

I want to get out of cup competitions because they refuse to buy reinforcements and this team isn't deep enough to deal with it.
