I mean, it would have been silly not to at least ask. Since he is stepping away from Liverpool to take a break from the stress of managing, I could see a world where a cush international job with no qualifying schedule and basically nothing but upside could be attractive for the next 2 years.

...or at least that's what I told myself when I was dreaming. I still think there are dozens of realistic candidates that are an upgrade over GGG.

I would hope so that Spanish team is stacked and young, they will be a serious favorite in 2026.

However, the US job would be easy. The press is not the same, the expectations would not be that hard to accomplish with the talent thats at his disposal. He could live in the US and be anonymous. His salary demands would probably make him unobtainable to the USMNT though.

I can't figure out what's up with Tillman. He plays well for PSV, but he is a complete ghost in a USMNT jersey every time. Honestly, we started playing like crap as soon as Johnny went out.

Weston at the 10 was interesting. When he is in shape, he is probably top 3 player on the team.

I'm probably the only one here who watched last night, but man, it's so refreshing to have a manager who has different tactical setups depending on what the other team gives us. It turns out that our players CAN find offensive opportunities without just playing it wide and crossing it in to noone.
