To suddenly accuse someone of multiple acts of gang rape, when there is zero history of a single sexual assault, is an inconstancy. I am not dismissing it, but I am skeptical, and Avanatti's client needs to provide some pretty compelling evidence.

At this point, BK was either a totally normal 15 year old boy who got grounded a lot, or a sex-addicted, teenaged psychopath running a gang rape ring in suburban Washington DC. There is literally no in between.

There’s 2 specific accusations of sexual assault, and a reputation for being creepy with female law students.

Mark Judge’s wife says he confided in her that he partook in a gang rape. It was already known Judge and Kavanaugh were very close friends (judge wrote about this in a book), and Kavanaugh’s own calendar confirms he was friends with judge and they frequently hung out. There’s plenty of statements too from both Kavanaugh and Judge about their hard partying youth, but this could just be toxic masculinity. It’s wrong to judge someone by their friends’ actions though, so Kavanaugh really needs to clarify his relationship with Judge.

It would be useful to have judge testify about what he remembers if anything, but considering he’s probably a rapist it’s doubtful he’d do this.

I’ve never been part of a gang rape, and I’ve never partied with rich white kids, but surely they can find people to confirm whether Kavanaugh did in fact get in line for a gang rape. I want to believe she probably saw people lining up to use the bathroom... but there’s no telling how depraved these kind of people can get, look at Brock turner for example.

Agreed. There is so little evidence with any of these claims (understandably so), that his testimony could provide some shred of the truth, one way or the other.

This is the part I am having the hardest time with. All of these accusations claim that the assaults occurred in public. Yet there has been zero corroboration of any accusation.

Since nobody asked but easily assumed, I thought from the beginning that BK should pull his nomination. We are never going to get to the truth of what happened, but Ford does not fit the profile of someone who would make up these claims. So there is a preponderance of evidence that this assault did occur and I dont think his nomination is worth tearing down the fabric of our democracy. But here we are.

Tomorrow and Friday is going to suck. I might need to go fishing.

they'll likely have to go through this same process again in the near future with Thomas, as he has mentioned before that he would be out the door whenever Kennedy stepped down. If something were to happen to Ginsburg or Breyer, we're going to see what accusations turned up to 11 really looks like.

If not him we start to get timing to the point where the GOP might not be able to get someone else through before midterms, and would be a really interesting midterm with an open seat on the court. Not sure who that benefits more, feel like it would rally the GOP base to get out and vote plus get people upset with Trump/GOP to rationalize a GOP vote as one for the court.

Pretty crazy how Trump will get at least 2 picks and maybe 4 when it’s all done.
