Average of last two games:

41.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals

vs

24.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks

yeah, neither of those jump out as being more impressive than the other

Jabari was awful against Wake defensively too. Lucky he even won ROW... but UNC!

[Edited on March 10, 2014 at 4:26 PM. Reason : Actually Ennis lost to Tech too. Nm. Parker deserved it.]

^ Parker got Rookie of the Week. My point was part of the bigger Warren over Parker for POY argument

^^Hey show some fucking respect dude.

This guy was responsible for a Girls episode playlist. Additionally if it wasn't for him, Future Islands wouldn't be a successful band.

That's a pretty interesting video.

I love the guy, but one assist per 30 minutes on the court is pretty bad (or whatever the stat was). He did have a nice one to Dez last game though. He was triple-teamed in the post and swung it out to Dez for a 3.

Also, kind of scary how good a shooter he could be if he'd just fix his mechanics a little. He would be lethal in the NBA with a reliable jump shot.

I saw they moved him up to #17 in their mock draft too.

No way would we retire Warren's jersey, maybe if he stayed 4 years and kept up his pace with multiple All-American honors and broke some records.

BUT I could see us "honoring" his jersey and putting it in the rafters. I don't imagine Hodge would have a problem with it, esp. if Warren won ACCPOY like Hodge did.

When Warren shoots 50%+ from the field (leading the conference) can you blame him for not passing more? He is the guy on this team. I don't think we need him passing up many shots.

If you win ACCPOY, that should be qualification for a jersey honoring, regardless of how long you stay.

Warren is a poor passer and doesn't have great court vision. Those are fair criticisms.

He shouldn't be passing more. Outside of a couple egregious misses (the one with Freeman under the basket in that video being one), Warren taking a highly contested shot over 2 guys is a better shot than anyone on our team taking a slightly open shot.

[Edited on March 11, 2014 at 9:18 AM. Reason : we should never retire 24. just give it to our best player every year]

"Fran Fraschilla: Jabari Parker | F | Duke Blue Devils

Regardless of class, Parker was the best player in the ACC from the start of the season to the finish. His freshman year culminated with a 30-point effort against North Carolina in what may be his last game at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday night. He is an ultra-efficient scorer (19.2 points per game) and hits 48.7 percent from the field. His versatility makes the Blue Devils very difficult to defend."

Haha, in all the statistical defining factors Fraschilla uses to defend his decision, TJ was better.

If the start of the season means fifth ACC game he would still be wrong but id allow it. Are we is it supposed to ignore Duke and Jabari's start?

The fact is the national media guys went so far all in on the freshman that only Jabari can save them now.

For fucks sake these are the same guys who thought Kentucky was going to be 40-0.
