Oak Ridge, Summerfield, Stokesdale: All three are where city people move because they want to "live in the country", but yet don't want to be more than 10 minutes from a Target.

True... except Stokesdale. When I was in Stokesdale, I was at least 15 minutes from the nearest store, and it was a Walmart I did like living in Summerfield though.

Oak Ridge has really grown up in the past few years! I hardly recognized it last time I drove through on 68.

Is there, like, a butterscotch factory on S. Elm-Eugene near 40?

I used to always smell it driving through Greensboro on my way to and from Raleigh and that shit hit me again this morning.

Mother Murphy's was a customer of mine back in my outside sales days. I used to love making onsite visits to them because it smelled so awesome.

There is also a candy company down in Lexington that was a customer of mine. Same deal

awesome! I never had a chance to work in the skincare division. I had 3 summer jobs during HS/college, each in a different department - textiles, absorbent polymers, and purchasing. My dad has worked there for ~20 years and used to bring home a lot of the skincare samples. I always get excited when I'm in a public restroom somewhere and I see that they use Stockhausen soaps!

Right before I left Cintas we started carrying the foam soap. That shit was THE HEAT! I think I still have a box or 2 of it up in the attic. Now I just need to steal a dispenser from a bathroom next time I see one.

It's actually a chemical plant. It's owned by a German company that produced warfare poison during WWII. What you are smelling is the same thing the jews smelled right before they were gassed to death.

Butterscotch. Yum

The Buffalo's on Battleground used to be a badass Chinese buffet. It actually had several different owners/names before Buffalo's bought it and moved down there, but the food was always exactly the same.

Sweet...although if it's anything like the one on Fayetteville St in Raleigh from last year, it'll probably be a mere half-frozen puddle of disappointment...

I'm not exactly sure where they are gonna put it, but I'll ask. I know it's been in the works for a few months now, and that some guy is paying for all the equipment and the Ice House is running it. They bought a sweet lawnmower Zamboni to resurface the ice too.
