is there a decent bottle shop in high point or west greensboro?

I'm in town next weekend, and want to get my hands on some Cold Mountain.

Brewers Kettle in High Point or K'ville too, but Bestway is supreme.

I know this is a long shot in this thread, but anyone else planning to go see Trioscapes at Carolina Theater Nov 30? Seen them a few times and always really enjoyed it. Worth it if you are even remotely interested in jazz or progressive metal as they are local and good guys.

Or Durham
Or Richmond
Or Baltimore
Or any other decent-sized town. Times are still tough for a lot of folks, and there are also lots of unscrupulous people who try to make an easy buck with a sob story.

Greensboro isn't that bad. In fact it's a lot better than it was when I lived there (1983 to 1998).

having the new Crafted and the Preyer brewery open up directly across the street from me will be dangerous for the next 2 months before I finish this project and get back out of Greensboro. I've already been there ~3-4 nights a week since they opened

Took a job in Rockingham County. Moving to Greensboro next week. Spent a few weekends tooling around the area and I'm pretty excited about it. It was time for a change.

Closed on our house today. Loving it so far. Seems like Greensboro has a lot to offer without the traffic and insane real estate market of Charlotte and the Triangle. Wife had no problem finding a solid job. She had 5 interviews and got 4 offers.

^What field is she in? I'm waiting for my annual bonus so I can start looking for a new job and since I live halfway between Greensboro and Durham I'm going to be looking for jobs in both. Seems like Greensboro might have more available because of fewer job seekers but the Triangle may have slightly higher salaries. I have no data to back this up though.

what you do? I'm from ROCO, but wouldn't go back. Living in GSO and commuting to ROCO is backwards for most people, but other than a modest increase in costs, is probably a much better scenario than the standard.

I work in electric power generation. Yes, it's backwards and I had all intentions of buying in Rockingham County to save money, but everything I found that actually saved me money needed a lot of updating. Ended up buying an old house just inside the limits of Summerfield that has been completely renovated/updated and is near the things I like to do (trails, greenway, mountain biking). It's a smaller house, but we have no children and no plans, so we needed to downsize a little anyway. I also know that this won't be a permanent spot for me, so I tried to set myself up to make a little profit when the next move comes. The area seems to be on the upswing and has great schools. It's an easy 45 minute drive to work for me and a very easy <15 min drive for my wife, so we decided to live where we play, not where one of us works (or halfway between the two locations 30 mins from everything).

Grew up in Summerfield. Nice place, hasn't changed a whole lot in the 18 years since I moved to Raleigh.

yeh, if the choices were between GSO or ROCO, Summerfield area would be the spot.
