Give him the 3 years it will take to get UNCC coach Brad Lambert up to speed. He looked great today against in-state rival and powerhouse UNC-Pembroke.

This year is a freebie for Doeren in my book. He didn't have much left to him. He's bringing in more talent than TOB did. Let's not be too impatient. When he gets guys who can do more, he'll open up the playbook more. I still think he was a good hire and will do well when all's said and done.

IF he does well, he will leave NCSU first chance he gets to move to a better school.

IF he does shitty, he is gone in a few years also.

In any case, he is not long for NC State

Right now our division is harder than Tobacco road in basketball and its not even like basketball where all 3 teams can be successful on a national level.

doeren is the right guy. i haven't seen anything yet to convince me otherwise. yeah we lost two games we probably should have won, but our problems are due to the offense not being able to move the ball, and we can't move the ball because we have a qb who does nothing to create a threat in the passing game. so you stack the box and shut down the offense. it's not like doeren didn't see it coming. he scoured the country looking for anyone but pete thomas and found mitchell. unfortunately he gets hurt almost immediately.

it is what it is. appreciate the fact that you don't have a fucking grandpa committed to mediocrity coaching your team, grit your teeth and get through this season and know that the best is yet to come. i know it's typical nc state attitude to say "wait til next year," but this is the first year our football team gets to benefit from the fact that debbie and randy are in control instead of jed and blow-blinger.

Exhibit A being the 80 yard touchdown pass he just FLAT OUT MISSED to one of the most open recievers I've ever seen

Wasnt he on the short list for Wisconsin before we snaggled him up?

Yeah, but if we would have waited a week or so to hire Doeren, Wisky would have had him. They were supposedly sniffing around even after Doeren had verbally agreed with us.

yeah, that pissed me off to no end. The only positive I saw to hiring TOB was that he pumped out NFL lineman at BC, but apparently that tradition stayed behind when he moved south.

Lol so Wake and Cuse have more talent than us??? I don't think so.

I am a huge Doeren fan and absolutely loved the hire, he's the guy I wanted, but these last two games have been atrocious.

Cuse certainly had more talented RBs and LBs than us. Overall you cannot win in college football without solid QB play. Hope Mitchell comes back against FSU, otherwise let the 4th stringer play and chuck it Harrison Beck style all over the field. Wonder what the spread will be in that game.

that rb that runs a 6 second 40 and can walk through a giant hole is much more talented than our rbs, sure

Talent doesn't matter when the systems are polar opposite. You can't just go from playing grandpa football to oregon ducks wiht the same guys. The one guy he brought in to play is gone so this season is a complete wash. You don't want him to stop running the system but he doesn't have the guys so what do you expect?

To be fair great coaches find a way to make use of the talent they have. If you run a specific system and can't adapt when those guys aren't there or get hurt then well you aren't a great coach in the end.

Bill Belichek, Bill Cowher, Andy Reid and Nick Saban all on the same coaching staff couldnt keep this game close. The talent disparity is glaring.

FSU played like shit vs BC.

Jesus christ TT10 you gave TOB 6 years and gave me shit about complanining after 4. You guys are bitching after half a season with shitty players

[Edited on October 26, 2013 at 4:29 PM. Reason : Its not like we had a realistic chance of winning this game]

you sucked Doeren's dick so much after the hire I figure you'd be upset with this complete lack of effort

And I haven't given up on him, I didn't expect this game to be close either, but I also didn't crown him our greatest coach in decades before we played a snap like you did

I supported the coaching change and said id give him 2 years. Not sure that constitutes dicksucking.

Just wanted to stop in and call a bunch of people hypocrites for bashing me for a year over my hatred of TOB, whose dick apparently still in TT10's mouth

[Edited on October 26, 2013 at 4:37 PM. Reason : B]

[Edited on October 26, 2013 at 4:38 PM. Reason : It's pretty funny that UVA was listed as an ACC sleeper, the TOB mediocrity curse strikes again]

i supported the coaching change too, and shit i'll give him more than 2 years

i just like bumping this thread to piss you off

but you were also like "He could make a BCS game, something Amato and TOB never did!"

gonna have to give him a lot more than 2 years for that to happen, and i hope i'm wrong

[Edited on October 26, 2013 at 4:38 PM. Reason : what does TOB have to do with any of this?]
