I wasn't aware that the media getting caught admitting it was FakeNews was "trolling"?

I guess you are perpetually trolled by everything that conflicts with your conspiracy theory, like reality.

Regardless of the Trump angle this is interesting. It has been obvious that the Russian govt is quite tied to the Russian criminal underbelly.

The difference is Project Veritas is posting actual statements FROM CNN... it is live video exposing bullshit... you know, what actual "journalism" used to be.

But I am thrilled you are admitting Russia is a false narrative now. It only took 19 pages.

Agreed. I wonder if it started with the Soviet Union's downfall, or was hidden until after the Iron Curtain/Berlin Wall and the West started seeing it after that.

I think ex-KGB agents found that they could easily get into organized crime when they were done with their government work. Having ex-KGB in organized crime made easy ties back to the government.

Felix Sater now cooperating with a YUUUGGGEEEE money laundering investigation. Rumors suggest this is a huge tangled clusterfuck involving a lot of people.

it is possible that CNN has copies of transcripts of calls between Kushner, Bannon and high level Russian officials however so far no confirmation from any MSM (claim)

This is the claim (claim, not yet confirmed or corroborated):

^^ Sater previously took a deal when charged with money laundering and racketeering; who took a lesser charge and probation in exchange for working the the US government to buy stinger missiles in afghanistan from his russian contacts. He also provided the government information that lead to a bunch of financial fraud convictions.

If he is participating it will be really bad for Trump

Mensch is also claiming that the WaPo has better evidence about the same thing (claim), and other conspiracy tweeters are making the claim that it is being withheld at the request of Mueller (claim)

Interesting on the heels of tomorrow's meeting. Also, I believe I read a story a few weeks ago about how Russian spies were in random places appearing to scout infrastructure in the U.S.

In any case, I'm sure Putin isn't too pleased to see this break tonight.

Why isn’t Putin pleased?

It’s clear he has absolutely fear of Trump.

It’s being reported only Trump and Tillerson will be meeting with Putin and Lavrov behind closed doors. Trump is a pasty, and tillerson is extremely pro-Russia.

I think to be fair, this has to be posted:

Looks like Maddow reported last night that someone had been shopping forged and faked "leaks" to media outlets. The suggestion being they are sensationalized "smoking gun" type documents that media outlets would later have to retract, and thus discredit themselves further.

The mindfuck shifts again,

However, what is clear is that we are in the midst of a YUGE propaganda and mis/information campaign, following what could be argued was an act of war (cyberattacks). The IC needs to pause the counter-operations (that's what the last 6 months of leaks and drips have been) and just layout all the evidence they have. We can't win this battle relying on the media to report evidence or relying on the average American to decipher what is truth. The average American is a soldier in this war but we're all just ducking in our foxholes without evidence to fire back with.

I didn't see it (watched her show once -- tax returns-- and found it tedious) but it's amazing how similar Trump's media tactics are to Putin and Erdogan.

If it is true and part of a Russian mis-information tactic that is EXACTLY what Trump would want to discredit the media.

In any case, most of the biggest stories this past three or four months were about Comey and have been confirmed 100%. The likes of Mensch and Claude Taylor are the ones muddying up the water; not WaPo and NYT.

Allegedly money laundering that included the purchase of Manhattan real estate. It gained some international attention when the key witness fell of a building.
The lawyer of this Prevezon Holdings was speaking to the son Trump.

Painful, because the US very unexpectedly settled after Preet Bharara was fired by Trump."

Junior's defense of "I met with a Russian agent to collude with them for anti-HRC material but was pissed we didn't get anything actionable" seems like an odd strategy to undertake to be honest.

I've heard some people say it is potentially a crime and others deny it. Not familiar with relevant statutes.

In any case, this is fun to follow but not sure how much it moves dial. With impeachment off the table without a miraculous Democrat 2018 (which won't happen for a completely inept party) and pardons all but inevitable (if needed) he can easily win re-election if he and the GOP is successful in depressing the vote -- and they will be.

no way, he is still popular among his base and democrats need a good turnout to win elections and they can't find a candidate that will drive turnout.

until the democrats find a way to energize their party, don't expect major gains for their party no matter how bad trump is doing.

For what it's worth, I don't think it would be a miracle for them to win the house back but am skeptical for exactly the same me reason laid out a few posts above.

I was more talking about Senate gains, which given the map may be an impossible task to gain any seats let alone enough to make impeachment in the House more than a political sideshow.

I actually thought it was decent as far as Trumps WH goes. Heated but they both seemed to have a mutual respect for each other.

I'll probably get killed for saying this but Cuomo is actually really good at his job. By far the best at CNN.
