But outside of the hyperbolic nature of the way he talks, what he said is mostly true. Its an anti wind narrative going over the negatives of wind power. He made a really bad explanation of the carbon emissions associated with the production of windmills. Every energy source has advantages and disadvantages and no single energy source can be relied on solely.

The only negative I can see outside of initial production issues (I guess the energy required for the steel? IDK) is the cost to keep them running. The article below states that it costs roughly 48k per megawatt for the first 10 years of a turbine's life. Not sure what it is after that, I could only imagine that it goes up.

I made the mistake of replying to some #MAGA/KAG tweet a few days ago, and I did it respectfully with facts. In response I have been barraged with racist, nasty tweets by members of the #KAG crowd. Ironically, they all have Jesus/love/justice/blessed/etc hashtags in every single tweet of theirs, like permanently, and yet, they are all racist and evil pieces of shit. Where was this crowd before Trump? There are millions of them, and they all believe several crazy conspiracy theories, with "Q" featuring prominently in their tweets and hashtags. But also bring Jesus into the equation every chance they get; never have I seen such flagrant hypocrisy.

Watch out... America is heading into some really dangerous waters, way more dangerous than it already is now.

Who knew it would take a gambling, philandering, foul-mouthed celebrity to unite and bring out all the end-times religion zealots in the US into the fore?

Its intermittent, difficult to store, and not in line with the infrastructure we already have in place. The areas where its not intermittent are often in hard to get to areas and far away from where energy is being used. Offshore wind production actually super expensive compared to onshore wind and everything else

Nothing. You've internalized a lie in NYMs post that I agreed with him. Nowhere did I ever say I agreed with his energy policy. The second symptom of TDS is thinking anyone who fails to reject 100% of what trump says or does actually supports 100% of what Trump says or does.

Its actually masterful the way Trump uses TDS like a virus to infiltrate and polarize issues that don't need to be polarized. Suddenly the energy debate will become this absurd all or nothing (wind has flaws or wind doesn't have flaws) which will be a lot easier to defeat with fear ("they want you to experience brown outs when its cloudy and calm") instead of the general narrative of "wind has its flaws but we need to take advantage of a diversity of renewable energy resources while getting off of fossil fuels.
