Why would you want a 92FS?

And yeah, PDHSC usually has one or two on display for at least a couple of weeks out of every month.

They're prone to striker issues, too.

The M&Ps use the same striker system, so caveat emptor applies.

For polymer, I'd stick to Glock, HK, Steyr, and XD.

I haven't heard anything bad about the M&Ps yet, actually. They feel pretty nice in hand, too.

the M&P sucks. any gun you need a tool to take apart is bad IMO. plus the tiny part that has to be moved to take apart the gun is prone to breakage. not a very well thought out design.

I'd probably sell my Taurus PT-92 if someone could take it soon. Great condition with very few rounds through it. Hardshell padded case, 3 factory 10-rd. mags, 3 15-rd stamped (aftermarket) mags, 30-rd mag that sticks two inches out of the bottom (OMF GANGSTA!), Galco leather belt holster, original box, two keys to the integrated Taurus lock system, etc.

A lot of people say this is a better weapon than the Beretta model. The de-cocker is definately nice and I like the integrated lock. There are a lot of reviews here:
http://www.gundirectory.com/more.asp?gid=20263&photoNum=2

I'd have to get $400 for it.

If I had one, I'd definitely be wanting to get rid of it.

I'm in the USMC, too, so I've shot a shit ton of rounds through the ol' 92FS (or M-9, as we call it). It's not horrible or anything, but you can do a helluva lot better for the money (cough-Sig-cough)

I just picked up a Glock model 33 yesterday. It came with a 40 cal barrel, though, not the stock 357.
I like it so far...

Its the Panter Lite I believe, I bought it at the Raleigh Gun show in January and I ended up finding a nice classic Land Rover I wanted, but I told myself I had to sell some other stuff to make up the money I spent. Its brand new, unused. Not even two weeks old now. Its just like this one with the M-4 adjustable stock.

The Remington 870 looks just like this

Why wouldn't you want a Berreta 92 FS? I've shot everything except the Berreta
Glock, Colt, Sig, HK, Ruger, etc... Plus the damn mags are interchangable with the Berreta 9mm semiauto rifle if only I could stick my 33 round glock mag in a semi auto rifle. I can't afford the HK i want now so berreta was my next gun to check out... if they suck so bad tell me why? Im curious

Is purchasing an AR-15 like purchasing a shotgun or a pistol, in terms of permits, etc.?

you dont need a permit to buy anything but a pistol or a class III weapon (machine gun)

semi-auto is like purchasing a shotgun in terms of permits, etc

full-auto assault rifle transfer is a lot more complicated

maybe this is a stupid question, but I've never thought of it before: If two people are wanting to trade pistols (with or without an exchange of money as well), do they both need to have permits?

it's not so much that they totally suck--it's that you can do better if you're gonna spend that much money.

I will admit that I'm partial to Sig (and 1911s, but that's another animal), but it's not just me. I've never ONCE met anyone who prefers Beretta to a P-series Sig. Beretta just offered the DoD a cheaper contract.

actually, I think I'd really like Glock if they made a DA/SA (or SAO) pistol.

in NC, even if you give someone a pistol, they have to have a pistol permit. hell, if you inherit a pistol, technically you are supposed to buy a permit for each gun and transfer ownership

unless you have a CCP

^^ don't think thats exactly right. if my dad wanted to get me a pistol when i was under age i could have it as long as i was 18. the law says you have to be 21 to purchase a handgun. and in order to purchase a handgun u need a permit of ccp
