Fantastic. That is probably the most vivid day of my childhood. I was at the Rangers parade and then I remember being so angry I couldn't watch the Knicks at night without being interrupted by the OJ bullshit... 6/16/2010 11:08:58 PM |

Very well done, hard to imagine so much happened that day in the sports world, and all anybody will remember is the white bronco

Some of you may be too young to fully understand the impact that day had on America's news coverage. It pretty much was the start of Court TV, it took CNN and made it into huge industry of 24/7 news. It pretty much was the seed to the so called "reality" shows. It really made you think about your sports heroes in a new way.
It also made it possible for Kim Kardashian to be famous.... 6/16/2010 11:20:46 PM |

Thankfully I was sick that day because I went to a school that was about 50/50 and remember there being a lot of tension after the verdict. 6/16/2010 11:21:22 PM |

My family home's shed burned in September 1995, and the house was uninhabitable for the next couple of months after that. I didn't attend school the day the verdict was passed down. I remember three-way dialing people until it was six of us to listen to the verdict together.6/17/2010 3:12:49 AM |

i was thinking "what are you cheering about? you didn't win anything! all this means is that $$ can now get anyone off.... why the hell would race matter?" 6/17/2010 9:30:07 AM |

More like Matt Williams was poised to break the HR record. Jr may have done it too, but Williams had more bombs at the time of the strike and basically lost his chance to be famous thanks to the 94 strike. Also Gwynn lost his chance at hitting .400 and the Expos officially died when the strike began.6/17/2010 9:53:02 AM |

I was in 5th grade, my teacher was black, and another black teacher came in and told her the verdict. They cheered like a bunch of fucking teenie boppers at a jonas brothers concert. Wierd.

I have no idea where I was when the OJ verdict was announced, but I know the day of the chase I bailed off my skateboard and ripped all the skin off my body. I spent all afternoon lying in the living room floor crying, covered in rubbing alcohol and Ace bandages, watching the Juice. 6/22/2010 7:02:00 PM |
